MIX Welcomes Biomiq Inc. as its newest Affiliate Member!
Kitchener, Ontario – November 24, 2025 – Medical Innovation Xchange (MIX) is pleased to welcome Biomiq Inc., a Kitchener-based medical device innovator, as its newest affiliate member. As Canada’s first industry-led hub dedicated to scaling domestic health technology companies, MIX supports high-growth innovators like Biomiq through mentorship, commercialization programming, IP advisory, and ecosystem connections that strengthen Canada’s MedTech capacity.
Biomiq develops biomimetic technologies that enable safer and more effective options in wound, burn, and surgical care. Its flagship platform, PureCleanse™, is a Super Oxidizing Saline™ technology used across provincial health systems, hospital networks, community care organizations, and LTCs. PureCleanse™ uniquely pairs a non-toxic safety profile with strong antimicrobial performance, offering clinicians an alternative to traditional saline solutions and harsher legacy antiseptics. It is also the only pure and stable Super Oxidizing Saline manufactured in Canada, reinforcing domestic reliability in critical-care supply chains.
Beyond Canadian adoption, Biomiq’s solutions have supported frontline hospitals in Ukraine through more than one ton of donated PureCleanse™ to aid limb salvage and care for war-wounded patients. Building on this engagement, the company is expanding work in military trauma applications and dual-use technologies aimed at improving wound management in austere and resource-limited environments, reducing antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and supporting rapidly deployable care at the point of injury. These initiatives align with emerging operational needs across NATO allies, the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), and global humanitarian partners.
Biomiq’s growth also includes the recent launch of PureGel™, a Canadian-first nano-hydrogel designed for extended delivery of its technology to support additional clinical applications.
“MIX is proud to welcome Biomiq to our community of health innovators,” says Elliot Fung, Executive Director of MIX. “Their commitment to strengthening Canadian-made medical technologies, advancing infection-control solutions, and contributing to global humanitarian efforts reflects the type of leadership we are excited to support within the MIX ecosystem.”
“We value MIX as a forum to engage and advocate for a stronger Canadian medical device and health-tech sector so companies like ours can build here and compete globally,” says Robert Fuller, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Biomiq. “MIX helps shorten the distance from disciplined science to scaled manufacturing, regulatory rigour, and broad clinical adoption, without exporting the value creation out of Canada.”
“We are excited to join MIX to plug in locally and nationally,” says Ryan Hanes, Director of Product Marketing at Biomiq. “As an affiliate member, there are so many opportunities for support, peer mentorship, practical programming, and funding pathways that help a Canadian MedTech like Biomiq scale right here in Kitchener.”
Biomiq’s addition to MIX strengthens the region’s innovation ecosystem and reinforces MIX’s mission to empower Canadian medtech companies to scale and succeed. To learn more about Biomiq click here or join MIX, visit: MIX – Programs.
